Leroy Carson, Jr. is the founder and president of Urban Physiology, LLC. This firm consolidates all of his  business and nonprofit experiences, resources and relationships to build a global force to infuse culture as a means of change. As a engaged scholar we examine change from a empirical research basis, using social science as a means of understanding the potential for change as well as actual enacting initiatives and business launches that will prove to bring folks together in the power of cultural exchange by leveraging the platforms of music, art, dance, fashion, culinary arts, literature, theater, film, media, rap and spoken word. 

Having more than 30 years’ experience working for industry giants in hospitality, technology, franchising and services, Leroy Carson, Jr. is currently the principal visionary of Urban Physiology, LLC. His entire career has been about educating, empowering and encouraging individuals and enterprises to meet and exceed their potential. Most of his efforts have been focused on developing endogenous resources so that they can compete globally and enhance their relevancy. Leroy’s strategic development work as an entrepreneur has helped empower many mature small business owners to grow their businesses through replicated business models like franchising, licensing, dealerships, and distributorships. His nonprofit work has been and is diverse from youth empowerment to economic development. The majority of his current efforts are in the development of independent music artists and building unique entertainment firsts for the global community. 

Leroy has degrees from Johnson & Wales University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University as well as continuing his life learning approach as a Doctorate in Business student at Georgia State University. He has traveled to 8 countries and has done business with many and is a proud father of a 15-year-old high school son named Ethan Robert Carson and is blessed to still receive wisdom and mentorship from Ethan’s granddad and his 88 year old dad. In addition to his seat on the inaugural board of the E.J. Wright School for Success, Leroy stay’s very active in community development by participating with the following other organizations: Current Boards include: Cobb Community Alliance, LLC., the Southeastern Reboot, LLC., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Chi Gamma Gamma graduate chapter) Talent Hunt/ Youth Development Chair, The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Cobb County a recent Past President, Global Chamber (Global Advisor Atlanta) and the Community Collaboration Corporation, Inc. Chief Collaboration Officer & Founder. Previous board activity included: Being the Vice President of Administration, Student Affairs and Chaplin of the NBMBAA, an Advisory Board Member Kennesaw State University Coles School of Business EMBA Programs , a Founder and President of the KSU Coles EMBA Alumni group, a KSU Alumni Association Board Member, a Board member Atlanta Metropolitan Hospitality Management program and the Administrative Secretary for Healthy Moves
